How long have you been playing disc golf? 5 years
How did you get your start in disc golf? I randomly found the sport on a day off from work. SO glad that I did!
What do you love most about the sport? It's a sport that can be enjoyed by anyone. It can be as relaxed or as competitive as you want it to be. There's always room to grow and push yourself as a player. I love finding small ways to consistently improve.
What makes disc golf better than the other sports you have played? It's a sport that you can enjoy alone or with a large group of people. The game is ultimately against yourself.
How do you go out and play better than you did the day before? That struggle with myself never gets old!
How do you approach a new course? If I'm competing at a new course, I like to walk through it a couple times and get a good idea of the angles in play on each of the holes. I want to know what angles provide the best percentages for me to succeed. I line that looks good off the tee box may not be the "go-to" angle from the basket's perspective. I look to find the lines that will provide me a C1 look, not necessarily the line that will get me "parked," but will be more difficult to access.
What motivates you to continually improve your game? My motivation is fueled by the belief that there is more potential within me to improve. There is always room to improve. If there is room to improve, you have potential to be better!
What do you do to stay focused playing in tourneys? I try to have a game plan going into a tournament that I want to achieve. I try to mentally relax between shots. When I step on the teebox, it's all business. Take a deep breath and execute the shot.
What’s your most memorable win? Probably the 2019 Faulkner County Classic. It was a great battle with pressure on every throw!
What’s your most memorable disc golf moment? Playing in the 2019 World Championships and having my family come out to watch.
What are your top three favorite discs? Anax, Buzzz, and Roach What are your top three courses you have played? Lake Eureka, Treehouz, Persimmon Ridge.
If you could play any course in the world, which would it be? The Beast in Nokia, Finland
Who is your disc golf hero, and how were you influenced by him or her? Paul McBeth! He is the most well rounded player I've ever seen. I loved how he approached the game and where he wanted the future of disc golf to go!
Whats in the bag? Nuke, Zeus, Force, Anax, Undertaker, Raptor, Avenger SS, Drone, Malta, Buzzz, Buzzz SS, Roach
What non-disc golf hobbies do you have? Backpacking, Outdoor sports, basketball, golf, board games, video games.
Any superstitions you have before or during a round? None for me!
What does #NoBadRounds mean to you? No matter how bad your round is going, you're still getting to do something you love.
